Nature
of the Beast has been described by the international
press and very many individuals who have read the
novel as:
'un-putdownable’ (New Age), ‘…a
crisp understanding of
organized crime’(the Guardian), ‘…Professional’
(Daily Sun)...
‘A thorough ‘‘thriller’’’(Professor
Soyinka, Nobel Laureate)…
etc. It is a story of world realities – of winners
and losers; and about broken hearts, shattered dreams,
wealth, history, espionage, power, human vulnerability...and
victory of the human spirit.
The
novel revolves around people on the streets of the
globe,
in places where the winners take all and where the
losers, like
beasts in concrete jungles, fail badly in the games
of living and
daily survival – from the big cities and exotic
lands, and down to
the slums and underbelly of the globe: New York…Hollywood…
New Jersey…Buenos Aires…Tokyo…Osaka…Okikamuro…
Buckinghamshire…London…Lagos…Barcelona…Athens…
Lemnos…Miyako…
In
years pre-911, the threats to the globe were as real
as they
are today. Money, beauty, and the allure of power
bring together
men and women of varied dispositions in a plot that
only unravels
at the end of the book. It (the story) involves the
wealthy,
aristocracy, royalty, and the perceived ‘ordinary’.

The
name 'El Matador' sends a chill up the spine of the rich,
and powerful men emerge to dominate global commerce and politics.
They are people in the shadows of international crime, big
business, the triangular trade, drug cartels, and new-age
terrorism.
Henry
Smart, an American investigative journalist goes on the trail
of El Matador. He struggles with failed romance, a past in
Vietnam, and the inheritance of a vast fortune. Then fate
pits him against his alter-ego - Blake Langley, a cold, ambitious
billionaire Englishman. But nothing can protect Smart from
the likes of Langley, the Italian Mafia, Japanese Yakuza,
or the intrigues of El Matador.
Amidst
the glitz of the corporate jet-set a new kind of war is fought
in the boardrooms as well as on the streets and exotic dreamworlds
of all continents. It is a war of roses, orgies, and champagne
as much as snipers, bullfights, hijackings, intrigues and
power play. Then a planned assassination of the Pope is to
signal the beginning of high-scale terrorism unprecedented
in history...
